Day 01: Delhi Arrival (By Flight: TBA)

Welcome to India! Upon arrival at Delhi International Airport, complete your immigration and visa formalities, collect your baggage, and proceed through the green channel if you have no goods to declare. Expeditions To India representative will be waiting at the arrival lounge with a placard to greet you. You will then be assisted with a private transfer to your hotel. After check-in, relax and unwind after your journey. Overnight stay in Delhi. (No Meals)

 

Day 02: Exploring Delhi – A Tale of Two Cities

After breakfast, meet your tour manager in the hotel lobby for a short briefing before embarking on a guided tour of Old & New Delhi.

Old Delhi – Start with a drive past the majestic Red Fort before visiting Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque built from red sandstone. Experience the vibrant atmosphere of Chandni Chowk as you take a cycle rickshaw ride through its bustling lanes, capturing the essence of Old Delhi’s charm.

New Delhi – In the afternoon, enjoy a panoramic drive past India Gate (War Memorial Arch), the Parliament House, and Rashtrapati Bhavan (President’s Residence) for great photo opportunities. End your tour with a visit to the iconic Qutub Minar, an architectural marvel adorned with intricate calligraphy and Quranic inscriptions.

Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Delhi. (B, D)

 

Day 03: Delhi – Jaipur (By Surface: 5½ Hours Drive)

Enjoy breakfast at a leisurely pace before checking out. Travel to Jaipur, India’s first planned city, renowned for its rich culture, art, and heritage. Known as the Pink City, Jaipur is famous for its royal history, vibrant lifestyle, and delectable Rajasthani cuisine. The city is also home to numerous temples and shrines.

Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and relax. Later in the evening, explore the world-famous jewellery bazaar, offering a diverse collection from tribal jewellery to intricately enamelled gold and modern diamond designs. Silver jewellery, commonly worn by rural women, is an affordable and unique souvenir. Jaipur is especially known for its gold and silver enamelling, colourful bangles, and semi-precious stone-studded ornaments.

Day 04: Jaipur

After an early breakfast, proceed for a guided tour of Jaipur, beginning with a photo stop at Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds). Continue to Amber Fort, the former capital of Rajasthan, known for its stunning palace complex and its remarkable 17th-century air-cooling system.

Later, visit the City Palace Museum, home to ancient Hindu scriptures, intricate miniature paintings, ornately painted ceilings, and the world’s largest silver objects, as recorded in the Guinness Book of Records.

Conclude the day with a visit to Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory built by Sawai Jai Singh. This UNESCO World Heritage Site features precise stone instruments that remain accurate even today.

Day 05: Jaipur – Agra (By Surface: 5½ Hours Drive)

After an early breakfast, drive to Agra, en route visiting Fatehpur Sikri, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a masterpiece of Mughal architecture. Built by Emperor Akbar in 1571 as the capital of the Mughal Empire, this city was mysteriously abandoned just fifteen years later, reportedly due to water shortages.

Explore its red sandstone palaces, courtyards, life-size chess board, tombs, and mosques. Visit the Diwan-E-Khas (Hall of Private Audience), featuring an extraordinary central pillar, and the Panch Mahal, a five-storied palace that served as a royal viewing gallery for the emperor’s harem.

Continue your journey to Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal, still deeply associated with the grandeur of the Mughal Empire. On arrival, check in at your hotel.

Day 06: Agra – Delhi – Departure (By Flight: TBA)

Early morning, visit the Taj Mahal (closed on Fridays), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Witness the sunrise over this architectural marvel, as the first light of the day casts a golden glow on the white marble, making it one of the most breathtaking sights in the world.

Return to the hotel for breakfast before visiting Agra Fort, a majestic structure built by Emperor Akbar, blending Islamic and Hindu architectural styles. Continue to Itmad-ud-Daula’s Tomb, also known as the "Baby Taj", an exquisite example of Mughal craftsmanship.

In the afternoon, check out and transfer to Delhi International Airport to board your flight to your onward destination. (B)
